Mike’s not one to give up and let an injury be the end of his competitive career, so when a life-changing event happened, he set out to make the most of life by creating new prosthetic equipment to get him back in action.

Mike talks about his new life after losing his leg during a professional snowmobile race. Throughout the story, Mike will share his journey through experiences about resiliency after injury, chasing down goals and how to get the best performance out of yourself by embracing the challenge. While overcoming his own personal challenges is a huge part of Mike’s story, helping others live life to the fullest is the other part of the story.

With his newly-designed equipment (including outfitting his own competitors), Mike continued to chase down new competitive dreams and collect a handful of medals from the ESPN X Games, and most recently, winning Gold and Silver at the Paralympic Winter Games in South Korea. You will be filled with emotion as Mike explains firsthand what it felt like to bring home the Gold for Team USA and voted by his peers to represent the U.S. by carrying the flag in the opening ceremony.
